Mother Hulda
Mother Hulda makes it snow white hares!
Mother Hulda, the ancient goddess of nature and destiny, known in the later sagas of the German-speaking region as the earth and mother god- dess who exercises justice, rewards diligence and punishes laziness, is in the original sense the ruler of the rigid laws of nature and thus able to contravene them.
Thus, the crystalline forms of which the snow flakes are constituted remain, but in addition it snows white hares that make people think the craziest thoughts; they form a spring-time circle around the girl with the golden coins and the pitch-covered girl who are both given equal presents.
