The stillness of midday spreads its peace over the world.
It is the time of ripening and fullness.
Venus, the Goddess of Beauty and Love, keeps a watchful eye upon Mars, the sleeping God of War. As long as he sleeps, peace is preserved. Based on the famous painting Venus and Mars, by Sandro Botticelli (1445–1510). And above all that transpires, amidst the radiant sun, the eternal Sphinx sits enthroned, holding the scales of a higher justice.
