February is the month of purification, for the Latin word ‘februare’ means ‘to purify, cleanse’.
Now, bodily cleansing is simple and relatively quick. Water, soap, skin-care products: We cleanse ourselves until we feel as beautiful as Venus rising up from the sea on a shell.

Those who wish can take their cleansing one step further to the vital plane by reviewing their lives and feelings and putting them in order.
The possibilities of cleansing can go even further to the mental plane. Here, to get control of one’s thoughts and attain a wakeful stillness of the mind would be the supreme discipline.
But a full cleansing of all these parts of our being is certainly not so quick to achieve!
To start with, I’ll be spring cleaning my apartment.
